For those who have not seen my previous art posts about my new O.C. this will provide a little explanation for the sudden color change in Cody's adult stage on this one.
Cody was born like most other dalmatians are, pure white with no spots (except for the patched ear on one side), all except for one unique feature, he was born with a blue nose and purple paw pads! Throughout the years, no one really gave him much trouble about it, or if they did notice, they thought it was really neat. And then came high school....
It was here that he was met by a few certain individuals who thought it was "cool" to make fun of his unique nose and paw colors, he almost never got any breaks from it all throughout his high school years, it reached a point where he was starting to grow ashamed of his "goofy nose", as the bullies would call it, poor guy.
But thanks to a few of his friends, he was able to keep his spirits up, and he even found the courage to embrace his special nose and paw pad coloring again, he even started dying his fur and wearing eye contacts, and an amethyst pendant just to compliment them. He figured that if he was going to be the unique one that he might as well go all out with it. The hearts that he colored over his left eye and right side hip have a special meaning: with the love and support of a few good friends, we can get through just about anything! (oof, hope that didn't sound too cheesy, heheh!)
