this scarf was given to them by a close friend. this friend was the first to show them compassion. however they were later hospitalized after finding out they had brain cancer.

"you charish that bandanna so much..." they said in a hoarse, quite voice.
"of course i do!" truffle responded, her eyes glazed with sorrow.
they chucked warmly. "you do know i got that at the second hand shop right?"
truffle wore a smile "you've always been cheap". they both broke out laughing, yet were quickly interrupted when her friend began coughing. they didn't stop, truffles jaw clenched with fear. she couldn't move, she knew she had to, if she didnt her friend would die. she woke up from her paralysed state and screamed for the doctor. they rushed her friend out on a bed, their speech inaudible, her vision blurred and soon darkness. she woke up, finding herself in a hospital bed, she had fainted from the shock. her heart broke when she found her friend died that day. but she held onto the bandana and their memories still live on.
