The sound of glass breaking rang out. We were staying there, staring. I was not ready. But she was. I didn't expect to see my only friend in the world to leave me this way. Or... I have left her. I tried to hold back the tears but they kept gushing out until I felt completely numb and broken inside. My tears became anger and frustration, I knew that I had to stop her... But I couldn't stop her. Or could I? I was afraid of myself. She was the only one that could ever make me feel better, but here we are. Face to face as enemies, friends no more.
She saw my pain and tears but her gaze didn't soften. She did not change. I was destroyed inside, is this the end? Will I give up? I stepped forward hearing a cracking sound. A large crack pierced through the ground. My paw was shaking. I must stay strong. The cat leapt on top of me. I yowled in surprise and it became a loud burst of a sob. Anger was in her eyes.
The same sound of shattering glass cried out again as if I was told not to.
She was falling.
...And Fading...
