the Yi Qi (yee-chee) is a small dinosaur from the Late Jurassic known from a single fossil discovered in Hebei, China (160 mya). It is thought to have bat-like webbed wings, and thanks to the preservation of the fossil it is also thought to have had black/gray colors with red wings. It has the shortest binomial name of any dinosaur, and the shortest binomial name of any animal aside from the bat Ia Io.
it's been a long and winding trip
and who'da thought it'd come to this
the end of days, a cosmic kiss
hold your breath and hold on tight
hunker down, try not to cry
tell the critters that you love
that you love them, that's enough
cause there's no stopping what's to come
some stuff's just etched into the stars
calamities you can't outrun
and when, sweet earth, we finally meet
the sky will burn and boil and sea
as mountains rend, it's you and me
here at the end of history
