I like your choice of blue! Have you learned about the alpha lock option for layers? It allows you to color in a picture without having to put down a new layer for color over the lines.

Little example/ tutorial from my phone


Here’s a red ball that I went to color mint green. It has a line art that I don’t want to color over so I’ll use the current color layer set up since it is separated from the lines.

I pick my new color and turn on alpha lock by clicking the box next to it.

Now I color in the ball with alpha lock on which keeps the color to the space where the red has already been colored

Now I have a black line that I want to color the same as the ball above

I try coloring on top of it to color it but the color goes over where I want to color.

So I turn on alpha lock and color the layer that the line is on
