extra info:
uikks ('eeks') are deer-like animals, that mainly live in the woods but are also great companions. all uikks have a flower bud on their back end, that mainly remains closed, except for on that once-in-a-while day. one day each month the bud will open up into three ribbon-y tails that seem to move on their own, slowly swaying around in the air. if a uikk meets their special partner on that one day of the month, they will weave their tails around each others' briefly and then go to sleep with their partner by their side. the next day when the two uikks wake up their buds will be closed. they will accompany each other until the next month, where one of their buds will open up and have a tiny baby uikk nestled in the parent's ribbony tails. the two parents will take turns caring for the youngster until they are old enough to fend for themselves, and will be able to live without their parents' constant attention. the parents are very dedicated to their kit, and will care for them as long as the little critter needs.
