Elizabeth was bred by a backyard breeder who really didn't know what he was doing, nor did he care. He just wanted to sell (mostly) purebred cats to make money. Birmans and other long furred cats were his preferred breed.

Elizabeth was in his second litter, and was always a curious cat. Unfortunately, the conditions she was living in were pretty terrible. When she was let out of her tiny cage, she'd find herself in a myriad of uncomfortable situations.

One day, Elizabeth found herself fascinated with a particularly sharp piece of metal. It might have been a piece of a car, or something else. As she played around with it, it cut deeply into her leg, tearing at muscles that really shouldn't have been torn into.

The breeder did *not* take her to the vet, like he should have. Rather, he did his best to patch her up. After all, she might be able to turn him a pretty penny as a breeder cat, right? She'd make really nice kittens.

The wound on her leg got infected, and never had a chance to heal properly. By the time she was rescued from the breeder, it was too late to fix it and she's been stuck with a permanent limp ever since.

Prompt: beryl started his limp after being adopted, it continued for a few years and his owner had taken him to the vet multiple of dozens of times for it. though anytime they went the limp seemed to go away? his owner swore this wasn't a joke and he cat was really limping! anytime he went they would keep him overnight, let him walk around, and everytime he was okay. it turns out that beryl is just a wonderful actor, he acts to get what he wants. though animals would dread being taken to the vet beryl longed to go for one reason. at the vet's there was an office cat, his name being amigo. amigo used to be an 'ally' cat who lived a crazy life up until his capture and adoption by the vet office. now he sleeps in the office living a softer life telling his life stories to those taken in. beryl just happens to be one of those cat who adores his exaggerated tales.
