Schokolade, which means 'Chocolate' in German, is a humble, quiet shopkeeper who lives in a small rural village. Her shop's stock is random and unpredictable. She has a lot of free time as she lives alone, and her highlight of the day is whenever someone visits her shop, even if they don't buy anything. Truth is, Schokolade often feels rather lonely. She spends a lot of time indoors away from everyone else and the only interaction she gets with others is often over the counter. Schokolade doesn't realise that she would really benefit from closing her shop, only for a few hours, and talking to the rest of the village outside of work. She only time Schokolade usually leaves her shop is to trade at a market a distance away from the village. To get there she has to walk through a small forest. She often spots things she could sell & trade on the way to the market.
