What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

A storm was rolling in, and it seemed like it
would be a big one. Many of the horses wer
e still in the barn, it had been a late night t
raining wise, but a couple of resting horses
were still out in the pastures. Chaconne had
been on edge the whole day, possibly with g
ood reason now. The fantasy stallion stood i
n his stall, franticly looking around the bree
zeway. He could see Lyre across from him, C
alor to his left and midnight to his right. He
also noticed to figures struggling to open the
\heavy breezeway doors as the wind blew th
em shut. Two riders, Amelia and Jacob, cam
e tumbling in as they managed to get the do
or to open for a quick second. They noticed
the frantic Friesians as lightning crackled ac
ross the sky and thunder roared in the air.

Amelia and Jacob rushed through the barn,
turning on heaters and doing everything they
could to make sure the horses were as comfo
rtable as possible. Amelia approached Chaco
nne with a fistful of liquorice, trying to calm

the frantic stallion down to little avail. Jacob sighed as the fantasy stallion whinnied and pawed at the bedding in
his stall, trying to think of a way to calm him down. As Jacob tried to get into Chaconne's stall to see if anything w
as wrong, Amelia had dashed up to the barn loft. Jacob watched Amelia run downstairs with a violin in her hand, "
Since when did you have that?" he asked the girl. She smiled as she stood just outside of the stallion's stall, "I've pl
ayed since I was 5, I keep this here to practice in my spare time," she explained, "Chaconne seems rather fond of it
as well." She quickly hoisted up the violin, opening her phone in order to tune it quickly before she took in a quick
breath.

The rain was falling heavily now, and the storm did not seem as if it was going to stop anytime soon. Chaconne eye
d Amelia, white coming from the edges, obviously on edge. She drew her bow across the strings and started to play
a melody, focusing on getting each note right. The thunder roared in the distance but it was quickly muted by the s
ound of the violin and rain. Jacob watched as the stallion began to calm down as Amelia focused on the violin. Nev
er before had he know that she played violin, let alone any instrument. "What song is this?" He asked, it had been a
bout 7 minutes now and she showed no sign of ending. Amelia quickly opened her eyes, hesitating slightly before an
swering, "It's the Chaconne from Bach's Partita number 2. The piece he's named after." She hesitated slightly once ag
ain before continuing on with the piece. By the time it had ended the rain was still coming down upon the barn, but
the horses and most notably Chaconne had calm down immensely. Amelia looked to Jacob, before giving the stallion
a good pat, "I learned the piece when he came into the barn.I thought it would be nice." She said with a smile.

The pair stayed in the barn comforting the horses until 2am, passing time with music, stories and a multitude of Sky
pe calls with some of the other riders. It was definitely an eventful night that Jacob, and maybe Amelia, most defini
tely wouldn't forget.
