Personality:Aletheia is one of the most analytical horses one could ever meet. Though initially shy at first glance with a soft-spoken voice and few cues to suggest any type of assertiveness in her attitude, she views the world quite linearly despite her gentle approach to it. Irrational decisions baffle her when she’s around to bear witness to them; she’s taken aback when her quieter friends decide to blow up in stressful situations, or when bolder acquaintances feel the need to become meek when a situation least calls for it. She finds herself the most comfortable when she’s able to predict the actions of those around her. With her distancing attitude, she rarely puts herself in the middle of stressful situations though; instead, she simply takes the time to try and avoid them.
Horses who know her, but not particularly well, cite her tendency to space out and simply ignore those in her solitude even when that assumption isn’t the case. She adores her friends and family, but she prefers to have an outside view on their interactions since she can so rarely muster the courage to be a leader to her herd. Nonetheless, her logical analysis of conditions around her comes to be a boon to her herd; Aletheia’s matriarch frequently counsels with her in order to get her near unbiased opinion and observations in more sticky situations.
Outside of her more systematic mind, Aletheia’s compassion defines her. She showcases it the most to her perceived family through little things like being attentive to her needs when out in their pastures (specifically to her matriarch, Ayase) or by having another ear to talk to when they feel sad, happy, or anything in between. Her herdmates confine in her so much that she ends up knowing some of the deepest secrets in the herd; but, coupled with her inner sense of loyalty, she’s never told a secret and never plans to. She couldn’t tell you how many times her herdmates have tried to bribe her to get information from her.
Best Friend and Closest Ally: Ayase
Aletheia has known this plucky individual for years. They've been near inseparable since they were foals, and the fact never changed even when Ayase became their herd's matriarch. Ayase always jokes about Aletheia's timid nature, but it's all in good fun. Ayase never ceases to remind Aletheia how much she depends on the taffy horse.
