Sometimes I think Rowanstar is just internally depressed and his attitude is hiding it....

Could be, honestly! And with everything that happened in the newest books... man, he must feel horrible on the inside. He may not act like he's didappointed in himself, but I feel like he secretly is - the poor guy! DX
