new! I likely will be getting my first drawing tablet sometime next week; currently in the selection process! If I can get one that I like soon, I hope that pen pressure and the tablet itself will allow me to create better designs. Due to this, I will be putting off oekaki art until next week. username ;; salty.sweet, but you can call me Julia or Lightning if you wish! I'm a teenage girl living on the east coast of the United States. I love drawing (doodling, sketching, watercolor painting, colored pencil, and digital art!), reading, writing, swimming, and playing the violin and piano.
past experience ;; Since I was very young (perhaps 1st grade?) I've taken art classes and learned to draw from references in marker, oil pastel, watercolor pencil, watercolor, and (currently) colored pencil. Shortly before joining CS, I got into digital art and did some in my iPad (I drew with my fingers, and I still do most of the time). After CS, I began drawing and designing using a mouse. I'd like to say my designing with a mouse is improving, although it's difficult to draw very well because I've never practiced with a mouse before. I'm hoping to get a drawing tablet so I can draw/design more well, as well as use pen pressure ^^

your strengths & weaknesses ;; I believe I have strengths in using watercolor brushes to create simple to medium designs. I'm also decent at sketching. However, as I'm not too comfortable with a mouse, I'm not always too good with line edits and detailed designs. I've also never done hair much, so I have trouble drawing and designing hair.
are you interested in a full-time artist position? ;; Absolutely if you think I'm eligible ^^"! Criickets are amazing and adorable and as perfect as perfect gets! It would be wonderful to be part of such a lovely community and adopts. If you do accept me, I certainly will gladly do my job to the best of my ability.
