Name: Equill

Prompt:
Equill is always mistaken for a man, which is a good thing, that's what she wants. If people thought she was a woman, they'd tell her to stay home, do housework, etc. The problem was that, she shared a home with her mom. Her father had left them, and so, if she did do housework, then there would be no one to get the food or money. No one would hire her, even thinking that she was a guy, because she was too weak. She couldn't get any money to buy for necessities for her or her mother. Secretly, without telling her mom, she started robberies, specifically robbing those of high class, and they started getting more money. The mom was happy and praised Equill on whatever job she got. Equill felt a guilty at the complement. Eventually, she left her mom with most of the earnings and went off with a few valuable gold things that she could sell if she needed. She stopped robbing as security near banks, trains, and in homes increased. She finally got work as a ranch hand. Life was peaceful until one of her old robbing victims showed up. He was able gain some money back, but mostly by selling things. The old guy pulled out a dagger. Startled, she along with most of the other ranch hands moved back.
"I'm here for that one!" he pointed to her, "I'm here for revenge."
To appease him, she was told to go to the man, even if it meant her death. He slashed at her, his dagger getting stuck in her cape. He ripped it free and notched her ear in the process. She wasn't going to be defenseless. She grabbed dagger arm, held it down, and pried it from him. She turned it at him and said, "Leave. You have no quarrel here any more." The man skittered away. She gave the dagger to her superiors and continued work. She lived on that ranch as a hand for most of the rest of her life. Not that it was peaceful. She still had a lot of trouble on its way.
