I-locus dilution

Postby Scottish9 » Sun Jun 24, 2018 3:57 pm

This dog looks cream. However, it is a red that has been diluted by the intensity gene. It is proposed that the I locus is dominant, with II and Ii resulting in dilution and ii not diluting the red in the coat. It can be diluted anywhere from barely noticeable to almost pure white.

The intensity gene affects all variants on the A locus, as well as recessive red (shown here for ease of example)
So, I am no longer really playing. I am sticking around to collect pets which I will exchange for art. Please only contact me about art or if you need some advice or a listening ear.
