When he's jumping, he focuses on just that, shutting out the taunts and cruel voices of his rivals. Yes, higher jumps are harder, but Calypso loves a good challenge to get his blood pumping.

When she does jump however she rarely wins as as she is just so small and lacks the enthusiasm.

Jump offs were never a thing for Lady. She’d be much more happier doing other sports like dressage. Jumping and sweating it out with other Napas and is disadvantaged because of her height? No thanks. Lady is very hesitant about jump offs even though she does show some level of talent and skill in it. She competed on a few occasions but never made an effort to improve or better her skill. She just coped with it. Whenever she hits a pole or gets marked down, she just snorted and move on.

Stallions and other horses think a spar with Kiss will be easy, so they don’t try very hard. But then the small mare wins and just makes her already big head, well, bigger.

She will spend hours going over them until she is forced to come into her stall by the handlers. Despite her small stature, Kiss loves jump offs and will do whatever she can to win. Oh yeah, she’s very competitive. The other horses in her field think she is odd for practicing so much but she thinks they are odd for not practicing so much.

how does this bab handle being so short at jump offs?: well, i mean... she sure tries. most of the jumps are much taller than her, and as a result, she has to launch herself as high as she can. she does enjoy jumping, but unfortunately, she isn't entered in jump offs very often due to the amount of struggle she has to go through.

What Zin lacks in height she makes up for in with power, precision and plenty of practice. She doesn't see being short as a disadvantage and feels that it makes the effort worthwhile. There are plenty of horses that can make the same jumps with almost a lazy ease, so when she can make the same exact jump with every ounce of spirit and grace to her name. It's quite the sight and has caused quite a stir among her competitors, she doesn't always take home a ribbon but every time she jumps well she knows she's earned the respect of her fellows and sometimes that's all she wants.
