Kim lives in a small town in a desert. yes; that's why it's sunny winter days. she's never seen snow! she dreams of it sometimes though, and makes snowmen and snow angels - but it's hard to dream of something you've never seen.

never-the-less, Kim loves the desert. the dull howling of coyotes in the night, the lizards she finds on the walls of her house, the long lines to get water at the well - okay, maybe not that last bit.



likes and dislikes?


❤movies. she saw one once when a travelling film company came along with a projector and a computer. so her favourite movie is the only one she's ever seen, The Lion King.
❤popcorn. this is the snack she was served at the movie, and she has tried to get hold of some more ever since, to no avail.
❤quilting. she loves to piece together new things out of scraps, so this hobby is wonderful for her!
❤beading. she loves making necklaces and bracelets out of pretty-coloured beads.

Xhoney. this awful sticky substance reminds her of the sweat that often dampens her fur. she's the same with most sticky things, but an added minus to honey is its sickly sweet taste.
Xcoconuts. she has an odd fear of them falling on her head or there being a bug in the nut.
Xcake. especially birthday cake, with its horrible icing and scaring candles. she much prefers ice cream cake or just plain ice cream.
Xpollution. the effects that people have on the environment is horrifying to her, so while many creatures prefer cars, she will always take the "ship of the desert" - or Maisie, the camel.

Freyr shares his name with the Norse god of prosperity and sunshine, and he absolutely loves the warm weather that accompanies summer! He is fascinated by his namesake and loves to bask in the sunlight on the beach. His den is at the very edge of the beach, just out of the tide's reach, so he can stay safe and dry in his home.

No matter the weather, Freyr loves to watch the sun rise every single morning, and watches it set every single evening. His has a favourite spot near a cliff, which has the best views for the sunrise and sunset, as well as the enticing smell of the salty ocean air. He's a sensitive soul, and this phenomenon every single morning and evening is enough to bring him to tears of intense emotion.

Sami loves to cuddle up in a warm spot of sun on an early spring day and watch the world pass by through half open lids. He doesn't like hot weather though, he'd much rather curl up under a blanket and watch the rain fall. Sunrise is his favourite moment of the day, when the rays of light break through the thick fog of the night and every dew drop becomes a sparkle of light. After the sun comes up he likes to go for a run and watch his breath curl up into the sky in the cool morning air. Then he can go home and curl up in a nice spot of sun for a quick cat nap.
