Diego was born into a wild tribe of longnecks, a secret society far away from humans. He grew up learning many customs and traditions in a peace-loving community that treated everyone in it like family. He lived a quiet life there throughout his adolescence, with the greatest takeaway from the teachings of his home being a love for nature. Looking after the environment was one of the core values of these untamed longnecks. After a while though, the boundaries of the village grew too small for him. He explored farther and farther every day, searching for new wonders to revel in, and grew more and more reluctant to go back home as the sun started to set. Eventually he decided to leave on a quest of discovery, saying goodbye to his friends and family and setting out for parts unknown. Once on his own, Diego found the world to be a much bigger place than he expected it to be, and he relished every minute of it. From stumbling across new plants and animals, species he didn't even know the names to!, to traversing game trails, spelunking in caverns, and climbing steep cliffs, each day was an adventure with a challenge he was thrilled to tackle. He made maps cataloging every running river, majestic waterfall, and the sea! The first time witnessing that vast expanse of rolling waves he stood there awestruck for hours. Though perhaps the biggest thing he was shocked to find- other longnecks! And befriend to these creatures called... humans?? Amazing things with the most complex society he's seen yet. Literature, artwork, skyscrapers, technology! Every time he has a question the answer leads him to a dozen questions more. After a couple of weeks spent lurking at the edges of this fascinating civilization and speaking with several of the local longnecks, he thinks he'd much like to try befriending a human himself. The best way for him to learn something has always been jumping in with both feet!█████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████..

any kind of weather, classical music, soups,
stews, a good cup of coffee in the morning,
and cheerily philosophizing with songbirds.
