Story:Jade looked around, tucking the heavy diamond under her wing, ooh where was
the stranger? She thought back to earlier that day
... she had been sneaking towards the large building, the large hood obscuring her peripheral vision, she shifted slightly, glancing around but no guards were in sight, she paused, who was that? They certainly didn't look like a guard, hmm probably competition. She reached into her pack and silently grabbed her blowgun. She slid the dart in and inhaled, but the other Kymph's ears swiveled around. Jade blew the dart, but it was quickly dodged. A paper airplane flew her way. She unfolded it and it read, "Midnight, on the bridge. Come alone." She looked back up, but the stranger was gone. She tucked her wings closer to her body and slunk forward. She was soon inside the vault. Her large eyes hungrily scanning the riches lining the walls around her. She hissed in surprise as the unfolded paper airplane drifted to the ground. Alarms started blaring, in a panic, she grabbed the largest diamond and fled. Jade was chased for a while, but she soon managed to get them off of her tail ...
She looked at the sky, it should be around midnight, anxiously shifting from side to side. This might be a trap for all she knew ... until a pink "comet" crashed out of nowhere, landing silently in front of her--what a show-off. This Kymph was all roses and hearts. Was this really someone like her? Seeing her look, the stranger smiled wickedly. "Every rose has its thorns," she said, her icy voice cutting through the sky like a blade. Jade meekly nodded. Wait, she wouldn't let some nobody intimidate her! So she glared at her and questioned, "And who are you?" The stranger barked a cold laugh. "Right, like you haven't heard of me," she said sarcastically. Jade just shook her head, which caused the fellow thief to scowl. "Oh, well I'm Clepta," she said with a disapproving frown. Jade introduced herself and asked why they were meeting. She received a shrug, "Oh, just the usual." Jade raised her eyebrows. She got a sigh in return, "To trade, to plot, ya’ know that sort of stuff." Jade gave a nervous grin since she hadn't really interacted with her fellow criminals. She waited for Clepta to speak. "Watcha’ want for that mighty fine jewel ya' got there?" she inquired. Jade looked down at the diamond which she had almost forgotten about. Ooh what a stupid thing to steal! It was so recognisable! But if Clepta wanted it, she was sure they could make a trade. "Oh, uhh, umm." She stopped abruptly when Clepta held up a pendant, a vivid, inclusion-free emerald in a platinum setting. It was beautiful. The moonlight bounced off of it, making it seem magical. She gasped and found herself shoving the diamond at Clepta while snatching the pendant. She slipped it around her neck and smiled. Clepta grinned, "Meetcha’ here in a week?" she inquired. Jade hesitated but then nodded.
