Animal Farm by George Orwell. Very good book for those open to differing political & social opinions.

My brother just finished reading it, and I’ve read it a couple times.

I never enjoyed it because of the pigs’ hypocritical nature, but bro loved its take on socialism/communism. It does do a good job of fully exploring that branch of government.

He and I both loved Boxer and Benjamin.

I agree with you when you find the pigs distasteful, and Boxer was always my favorite, along with Benjamin and Clover.
The story's conflict and even smaller details reflect history very well, if observed closely.
