About the species:
Quaes Ram is short for Quæ sedes terram that translates to ground dweller, they are tiny mouse-looking humanoids, they are about the size of a house cat. they can have up to 5 eyes and some have horns. their social standing is completely determined by their magic and how strong it is, depending on this they can be one of four classes: groundling, sneaker, sorcerer or royal.
groundling:
ranges from magic class light green - red, they are not allowed to stand on their hind legs and must always keep their head low when in public. if a royal is around they are expected to hold their heads at ground level.
sneaker:
ranges from magic class orange - light blue, they can not hold their heads any higher than the sorcerers staff but they are allowed to stand don their hind legs, when a royal is around they are expected to sit down and do a short bow.
sorcerer:
ranges from magic class dark blue - purple, they can hold their heads high and should only use all four legs in case of emergency, when a royal is around they are expected to stand tall and bow once.
royal:
ranges from magic class white - black, they are considered pure and are not to walk or tuch the ground, they are the only ones allowed to even own headwear and they must always be carried higher than others.
