Don't really like this one much, but I'm posting it anyway because I don't want it sitting in my saved oekakis. I have... way too many saved oekakis, I don't need to increase that number (there's 8 yrs worth of stuff in there ok)
Personal notes for next time:
- when starting off in grayscale, color in stuff w/ overlay before you start doing details. if you don't, things tend to come out /too/ monochromatic and boring.
- or just stop starting your paintings in grayscale because you're Very Bad at it (and your stuff comes out better when you don't do that anyway)
- keep abusing that square brush because it's great
- incorporate textures more
- get more varied with foliage shapes and types
- remember that dirt exists
- use some dang references for once
- flowers come in colors other than white, y'know (I know I always default to small white flowers in like every pic lol)
- try to spend more time on your pics. when was the last time you spent at least 3 hrs on a scene? (the answer: a /very/ long time ago)
