What could be stranger than God in a manger?

Postby Josie A. Drake » Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:47 pm

I haven't seen a single oekaki of the true meaning of Christmas, so I thought I'd be the first to draw one.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Luke 2:8-14

Have a nice day! :D

I think you're wonderful for drawing this sort of picture, not 'happy holidays' but 'Christmas'.

Without Christ, December would be just 'mas,' now wouldn't it?

Lovely work on the straw, btw.

Just back on CS after a looong 2-year gap, so I have virtually no new pets and all oldies and no idea how to work the coding of a CS signature. Will work it out later I think!

Its not just about christ though either. its about bringing your family together and lighting up new smiles! Christmas means "christs mass". but not every one needs to believe in that for a christmas. Kids have christmas because they are usually to young to understand what the meaning is behind the presents and santa. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! love the straw!

Beautifull. Funny, my pastor taught about this same concept Sunday. Why would the God of the universe choose to humble Himself and be born and raised among sinners? Why would He purpously die for us? Cause He loves us! So why don't we at least show some appreciation for Him and keep the "CHRIST" in "CHRISTmas"? That's not that hard is it? No.
