what is a space baby? *:･ﾟ☆

born in tandem with the stars themselves, space babies are creatures that scour the cosmos in search of... destiny! each start out as idealistic little things, driven to find their one ( or two... or three... ) true calling(s). a sb's destiny can be something as large as becoming the defender of a planet, to something as small as growing their own garden. each time a sb finds one of their destinies, a ring of stardust grows around their body. the most ancient sb's are entirely cloaked in stardust, each seeming as though they've grown their own universe.

a sb can range anywhere from four to seven feet tall, and can thrive anywhere from the cold depths of space, to the gentle breeze on earth. some sb's have colonized entire worlds - though many think of themselves as wanderers without a set 'home planet.' that doesn't mean that they aren't social creatures, of course - sb's love to team up with partners for their long journeys across the galaxy!

He loves them all! They're all unique and cool in their own way, however, if he had to pick just one- it would probably be Bigfoot. A classic when it comes to cryptids and easily one with a lot- if not the most- evidence yet. That and it's a bit amusing to him how humans get riled up over essentially just a really big ape.

personality ; Zeph can be pretty cocky and self centered. He likes to say he can handle anything, but will turn tail and save himself in almost every unfavorable situation. However, he means well and will try his best to protect his few friends when it comes down to it.

favorite Conspiracy theory/cryptid ; Zeph loves anything to do with aliens. He loves conspiracies that have to do with abductions, encounters, and government experimentation. Of course, he'd probably be absolutely terrified and run away the second he ever saw an extraterrestrial visitor.

personality ; duke is a gentle soul. he prefers staying indoors with a book and some tea (and yes, he knows it's cliche; he likes to say it's cliche for a reason!) over going out and being adventurous. his favorite pastimes include reading (he likes to read very specific nonfiction, like an encyclopedia on a certain species of fish; he also likes reading fantasy and sci-fi), sleeping, and knitting. his family and friends are used to receiving knit hats, blankets, scarves, and sweaters for birthdays and holidays. they love them, because they know a lot of love went into them. favorite Conspiracy theory/cryptid ; duke holds a special place in his heart for mothman. the poor boy was only trying to help. he actually has a little shrine of sorts dedicated to mothman in his bedroom, just in case he might want to visit someday.

• personality ; Palenix is quiet. Not because they don't like talking (trust me, they will talk your ear off with their knowledge of space), but because they've always got their face buried in books. Palenix prefers to spend their time in quiet places like the library, but will never turn down an adventure. Getting the chance to travel somewhere (and possibly discover a new cryptid) is forever enticing.
• favorite Conspiracy theory/cryptid ; The Phoenix Lights are absolutely mesmerizing to Palenix. The thought of aliens getting so close to earth really just gets them buzzing. They could tell you almost everything about the Phoenix Lights
