Alright, so this is the basic design so far with full lines, one basic background, alpha lock layers, and a color in for example. There's a layer for color pallet and gender, and several different tails and accessories

This creature has a cat-like appearance but is roughly the size of a wolf. They have various tails that are hereditary and mark their clans and certain traits/abilities. The markings of this species, too, are hereditary and will influence the sorts of markings their children will have. The males of this species are born with wings, the females are born without. The brighter the coloration of the creature, the more affinity with their abilities they have. Often the more powerful of this species will mark their status with jewels or precious metals or little things they salvage from humans. The males tend to prefer the more simple jewelry while the females prefer the elegant, though this system is very loose: it is not uncommon for a male to be seen in delicate jewels or for a female to be adorned with simple silver circlets. All of this species has beaks instead of fangs as they are made to be more agile and attack from above. They are carnivores in nature but still have a certain fondness for sweet berries. The relic that resides between their horns is a concentration of their power and also their weakest point. These relics are, essentially, the souls of these creatures. They float freely between their horns and mimic the colorations of their creatures.

Tails:
Short fluffy: more agile than others of the species. Can run as fast as a cheetah
Dragon (shown): Fire or ice depending on coloration. Can breathe the substance
Chimera: Able to receive glimpses of the future, though these flashing images are often confusing. Sometimes, though, they reveal important truths.
Spiked: The fighters of the group. These creatures are unusually strong for their size and this particular clan also has tougher skin than their brethren
Finned: Able to swim and hold their breath for long periods of time. Have a certain fondness for fish

Gender distinctions:
Males are winged, females are not
More powerful males often wear simple jewelry
More powerful females often were complex jewelry

Power distinctions:
The more powerful the creature, the brighter the coloration
