The Terra breed of pony is essentially a normal equine that has the least potent magic that manifests itself in the form of increased strength and agricultural prowess. These ponies are normally the largest in both height and mass in the realm of Aelanon although smaller or larger than normal Terras have been recorded. These two variances are otherwise known as "Draft" or "Light". Being the most plentiful among the tribes these individuals have made large sprawling cities known for their sturdiness and agriculture. Its also known that many choose to creature smaller settlements throughout the realm. A popular past time for the terra is the introduction of various running or jumping courses for sporting pourposes.

The pegasi breed is known for their capabilities of flight and manipulation of weather. Pegasi magic manifests in their ability to shape and stand on clouds and of course their ability to fly. Interestingly pegasi has two variances within the breed, these are known as "Short Wing" or "Long Glider" pegasi. The short wing Pegasus is common throughout Aelanon but long gliders are more uncommon due to dwindling numbers. This particular breed has longer wings with a extra layer, extra feathering, longer tail feathers, wing claws, ear feathers, and small "spikes" on the back of each hoof. These ponies are known to build large beautiful cities made of entirely cloud but are renowned for the large coliseums they have at their disposal for gladiator matches or tournaments.

Unicorns are most notable for their spiraling horns that grow from their forehead, these being conductors for casting magic. This breed has the largest magic pool and gives them great capabilities in manipulating their surroundings. Depending on the individual, multiple spells can be learnt, all ranging in difficulty and power. However the most common spells are levitation, light spells, heating/cooling spells and basic combat spells. Unicorns have two subdivisions like that of the terra and pegasi, these being the "lowland" and highland" unicorn. The lowland unicorn is the more common of the two and less magically gifted, possessing a straight horn and larger cloven hooves like that of a cow, where as the highland unicorn is much more uncommon. These unicorns are of much larger height with increased magical capabilities. Usual traits are a curved horn, a lion like tail, long arched necks, no mane, and small cloven hooves like those of a deer. Unicorns are well known for their jousting fights and beautiful cities that boast magnificent castles.

The hippocampi are mysterious aquatic equines that dwell in the bordering oceans of Aelanon. This breed of pony is uncommon because of their mistrust in the land dwellers and prefer to keep to their own kingdom, however individuals have been known to wander towards the land clans.This particular breed has the ability to live underwater or on land because of their ability to change into a form resembling that of a terra, with a few differences of course. The aquatic form is characterized by a long thin body possessing a fore body like that of a pony and the hindquarters of a fish. They also have gills and a mane of fin than runs down the back, around the neck,cheek, and as fetlocks on the front legs. Its also common for them to have thin double set nostrils. However the hippocampus land form is best described as a thin, tall terra that has the traits of webbed cloven hooves,gills, no mane, tail made of a "fin" material like that of its aquatic form, and various fin patches on its body.(cheek,front fetlocks)These ponies are known for their dazzling underwater cities and castles.

Zebras are unique in the form of being uncommon throughout Aelanon and possessing innate magic that manifests itself in the forms of prowess in alchemy and craftsmanship. Zebras are renowned for the trinkets and potions crafted within the villages or small cities on the outskirts of Aelanon, most of which hold timeless traditions and impressive tribal dances. This breed is similar to that of terras but with taller, leaner builds. Like the terra they come in "draft" or "light" variations. Most commonly these ponies are seen with black or grey stripes and Mohawk manes, although reports have identified a few with longer manes and brown stripes. These ponies have introduced a game called "Rag Ball" and enjoy hosting tournament's between teams, the goal to get the ball to the other side and hit it between two posts.

Very little is known about horses other then they have no indistinguishing magic or features other than their greater height. Very few roam the realm of aelanon today, although there were stories saying they were in plentiful numbers in the past and mingled with the pony tribes. This lead to them contributing their ancestry to certain individuals that allows them to be of greater height than normal

Griffins are intelligent predators that are part bird part lion. These beasts can grow to be the size of a fully grown pony or more and have wicked claws and talons yo be used in battle. A unstable peace is currently in place between the ponies and griffin kingdom but few have been known to choose to live and create families with ponies, creating hippogriffs. Griffins make their home in the tall mountain ranges of aelanon and have a kinship with the pegasi that dare to live there.

Hippogriffs are the offspring of a Pony and griffin, most commonly pegasi. This breed is most commonly seen with the head of and chest of a bird and hindquarters of a pony and large wings. Reverse hippogriffs are less common and have the head and chest of a pony and hind quarters of a lion. In both cases if the pony parent is a Terra or Unicorn the chance of having a horn or no wings is factored in, albeit rarely. Overall this breed is not commonly found within Aelanon due to the unrest between the pony tribes and the griffin kingdom.

Dragons are the biggest enigma in the realm of Aelanon and few are ever seen. They are know to sleep inside caves or underground caverns to hoard their treasure, multiple sized dragons have been recorded. It is only in rare occasions that they are seen mingling with ponies and even rarer for one to breed with a pony.

Kirin's are by far the most mysterious and rare beings to inhabit Aelanon. These ponies are extremely magical in nature and can tower over even horses. They are commonly referred to the world deities and each tribe has its own patron to pay worship to. Characterized by their massive size and magic capabilities these creatures also have coven hooves, colorful scales, multiple horns or antlers, long lion like tails or other defining traits found no where else. In rare instances it is said that when a foal is born to a clan there is a chance for it to be "Kirin Blessed" and exhibit a few physical traits of its patron Kirin.(ex: scales, long tails, cloven hooves, etc.)
