This may not be the place to ask, but I need help. I want a bird, but I've never had one. IM not sure what kinds are best for my situation. I do plan to keep the bird in my room, so something not TOO loud, and I have a young sister who is a toddler so I want something that may not be agressive. I want a bird also, that will be happy to sit on my shoulder and be out the cage and things like that. So uh, bird owners, help a sister out?

Unfortunately i can't help much, all I have is a little canary, which is not normally the type of bird to enjoy human contact. he's a lovely singer and isn't very aggressive, though!
i would ask your question here! there's lots of bird owners who could probably give you recommendations.

Ah. I've been having a hard time deciding between a canary and a cockatiel because i love song birds but i want one that will enjoy lots of human contact
