I've had many rats in the past but we stopped getting them since they die so fast only a few years and we were exhausted because it's so devastating every time
So we ironicall, have snakes now!
But rats have such a special place in my heart
Also love their names!

I haven't gone through any losses yet though, as my oldest two are only a bit over a year now .
Snakes are great animals ! So cute and long ahhhhh

Gosh it's terrible, one of their deaths I still can't really even thing about, my last one was a very curious and smart boy named Barley, the males were supposedly not supposed to really get tumors like the girls, but alas like my first rat Luna he developed such big ones we had to put him down.
Snakes are so great! I have a milk snake and just got a ball python and it's sad that you sometimes have to feed them rats but it's how nature is, and I understand that so I don't mind too much.
Plus one snake should live about 15 years and the other 30 so that's really great!

I owned just over 20 at one point.
I got my first, Louis, when I was in middle school.
Soon after got him a friend Stewie.
They passed away after a few years and I was heartbroken.
Decided I needed more in my life after graduating and got Frederick and Elliott.
Started working at a pet store and bought Romeo, he joined Fred and Elliott.
Rescued Sherlock and Laurence from a bad home soon after.
Adopted Romeo's mom, Lady.
Bred Lady and Fred, resulted in 13 babies.
Rescued an escapee rat momma at the pet store and her 12 babies.
Found homes for all babies and rescued mom.
Lady passed away from old age after a year of owning her.
Elliott passed away from old age after 3 years of a very loved life.
Romeo passed away a week after Elliott because of depression.
Sherlock passed away from old old old age. literally probably close to 4 years old.
Frederick passed away just a month ago </3
Laurence passed away a week after Frederick due to extremely old age, he and Sherlock weren't even a month apart in age..

I am waiting to have my own place again before I bring more rats into my life. Having lost so many has brought a lot of pain, but their short lives were full of love, so that makes it worth while to me.

i had a rat named Ginger in the past, but he passed away a few years ago. i miss him dearly.
anyhow, these cuties are adorable!

Such amazing rats! Their names are amazing!! I wish I had rats, but I have a cat and a kitten, so that wouldn't work out too well. They'd probably be scared to death by my kitten just poking at them :T

Aww these are cute^^,I dont have any but i do have 2 rabbits,I had 3 but sadly she died last sunday,She was really young and we only had her for 5 or 4 mouths,BUt this is adorable!
