Favorite Song and Why (400 words) - Tosca FantasyAria, a child born into a world seemingly full of darkness. She was born of the silence just as a piece of music, into a darker age. The Order of the Guardians had fallen to the strength of darkness and the world was cast in chaos. Demons walked the earth and dark magic ruled. Just as the beginning of this piece, the beginning of her life was slow, yet still rings of heartache. Her first life was lived within the shelter of a small village, one that still reflected the war within the land despite its seclusion. A world that, in her earliest days, kept her protected from the truth. Until all came crashing down around her. She remembered, a week before it happed she could hear them. The sounds of two cello's, playing in harmony a distance away. She did not approach, feeling an uncomfortable tugging at her soul that caused her to flee the sound, though she could still hear the echo. That next week, they were attacked. Demons came from all around, raiding her home and disrupting the peace. Among the chaos, she ran, trying and failing to escape. The urgency behind this piece reflects her short life, having been killed by those demons.
Though, as the piece begins to pick up, she feels alive once more. She remembers opening her eyes, a warm and comforting presence surrounding her as Ugin watched her patiently. She had pulled the small child from her world, as well as the hands of Tyramet, for she still had a life to live and goals to achieve. Ugin welcomed her as an angel and set her to the task of saving as many souls from the demons Abdiel and Khandura, two celloists who used their music to steal souls. Though Aria was lost. How would she possibly keep others from falling for those demons tricks? Ugin only had a soft smile in response, as she gifted the girl a golden violin and taught her a song. A song from the Opera, Tosca, fitting to be Aria's first solo. Certainly, it was not a beginners piece, yet with Ugin's unending faith, Aria found her song. Now as the days end, with the sun behind her from her perch on the roof, all ears turn from the deep cello of the demons to hear her song while she closes her eyes, playing Tosca Fantasy.
