1st drawing

Postby Neeko » Thu Oct 26, 2017 1:55 pm

I would really love a nice drawing tablet to actually do good quality art but I'm stuck with my old laptop using the touch sensor to draw. Heres a quick sketch I decided to experiment with and possibly finish later. I really need to fix the nose and ears but it's just a sketch for now.

My first tip, a problem I'm experiencing myself, is choose a tablet where the pens you get with it have replaceable tips or you can buy new pens separately with them. The old Wacom tablet I have only allows you to get the pen if you buy the tablet again x-x

    hey that's a nice drawing!

i would absolutely recommend huion tablets. don't own them myself, but i've heard positive reviews and they're way cheaper than wacom. i haven't seen any of them in the shops, so you might have to order online.

as far as programs go, i think krita's pretty good (only for windows atm) but medibang paint or firealpaca are some nice altneratives too.

I may just have to look up more about the huion tablets. Thank you for the recommendation!

Wacom intuos pro tablets are absolutely amazing, though pretty expensive (500$ish for one that's big enough to feel comfortable) They come with a bunch of pen nibs that you can change so you don't need to worry if your pen starts to wear down. It also has a wheel on the side which you can adjust to zoom in and out, scroll up or down, chose colors, ect. I love mine, was well worth the money! They're very, very good but again, can be a bit pricey. If you plan on doing a lot of digital art I'd definitely recommend one c:
