Username: Hybrid Winters
Flying fox name: Lyth
Extras: Lyth was raised by his mother along with his three other brothers. They were a curious and rambunctious bunch, driving their mother up the wall often enough that shed grown to expect them to return late at night covered in dust and dirt from their tussels and adventures into the unknown. Lyth had always dreamed of leading their little crew, being the one his brothers run to if something is found or someone needs help, but he was too young-the youngest of the brothers, in fact. His brothers treated him well, often feeling the need to defend him at any cost, but sometimes worried too much to even let him join them.
One day, Lyth decided he would prove he didn't need protected. Gathering up his exploration gear- a flashlight, a bag so snacks, and a small shovel- he set off, wind passing his flying form as the moonlight guided him. He grew weary of flying after some time, and decided he'd explore nearby his landing site. The area was hidden beneath a thick layer trees, small rays of moonlight filtering through. As he examined the area, he fumbled about with his flashlight, paws scrabbling to find the small button. The light clicked on as he continued to gaze about the area before strapping the flashlight to his bowtie. It was a common thing his brothers would do as well, except they usually had a necktie or bandanna. It allowed him to travel swiftly on all four paws. He soon came across a large clearing completely covered by the trees. With slow steps, he wandered into the center of the circular clearing. As his paw landed in what he estimated to be the middle, the ground collapsed, taking his flailing form with it. The fall was short, barely even a couple seconds, but it still disoriented Lythe. He rose to shaky paws and examined his surroundings, finding walls of dirt surrounding him and thick trees above. Looking down at his paws, he noticed a dirty book. It laid below his right paw open and decaying. The edges were gnarled, the ink smudged, but it was overall readable. He gently picked it up, turning to see the cover.
'Friday the 13th'
He cocked his head in confusion. Was this a storybook, or a diary of some sort? He shrugged, and carefully moved the book into his exploration-pack. Carefully unfurling his wings in the cramped space, Lythe decided he should head home and show off his discoveries, perhaps his brothers would recognize the old book. With a proud smile on his face, he slipped through the trees and back to home.
