"Mother... Why am I here?" The young wolf asked, his green eyes focused solely on the ground. His small pupils were visibly shaking as if he was in pain. His mother, Temari, blinked. "What do you mean Cal?" Excalibur sighed and lifted his head. "I should be at war with father..." He stated and recalled the times he attempted to sneak into the battle training. He didn't get why Fire pack and Earth pack, two major packs that had an alliance, are now at a war that meets no end. Temari just sighed in frustration. "You are too young, my son." She then grew silent as she began to think. 'And I must not let you battle... Then your true power will show and corrupt you...' A groan sounded from Excalibur, who was clearly irritated. "But I want to help father!" He said confidently. With a shake of the head, Temari laid the pup down in the den for the alphas. "Sleep young alpha. Your father will be fine. Kasai is a strong wolf." And with that, the two fell asleep, unknowing of the chaos they would soon wake up to, which would lead to the death of alphas, and the hatred of a young soul.
