Postby Autumn Ghost » Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:20 am

I've never attempted backgrounds, ah it looks terrible xc
Anyways, was kinda bored and wanted to draw my little boy, Renegade <3

Any comments on how to improve would be appreciated <3

The background looks really good! Better than any moon i've tried drawing xD! Maybe just kind of look at some other drawings or backgrounds you want to draw?
here is a forest, beach, mountain, and lake to get you started!
Maybe try looking at the details in the trees or water, dont feel rushed and take as much time as you need! You want the background the look nice c: I looked at others drawings for a bit looking at details they used and tools before i started drawing mine, but you can do whatever you need to help you learn! Hope these small tips help!
Also i recommend adding shading and lighting to the object in front, to make it look more real in the area of the background!

Thank you so much, I'll try and use those tips whenever I make another background, I added a little shading to the pup in front (I've never done shading on my own before) which wasn't too bad but I agree, a bit more would help making it look more realistic, thanks again for the tips, it's really appreciated <33
