name:
Icari
gender:
Male
personality:
A calm, peaceful, pacifist kalon. He would never hurt others unless they were threatening the balance of nature. He can be quite vicious if you hurt nature, and it is best not to ever even joke about harming it around him, for he carries a very nice pocket knife everywhere he goes.
Though he is calm and collected on the outside, the truth is that he's an emotional mess. To ever reach the point where he would express all his feelings to you, you would have to be his best friend or a very close relative.
He often acts mysterious, for he hides a secret. He also behaves a little creepily, so not many kalons will try to approach him.
relationship with the sea:
Icari stood by the bay, and watched calmly as a small blue light flitted over the waves. He raised his paw into the air, holding up a large torch. The light, which had previously been floating around aimlessly, now began speeding towards his beacon. He smiled,
and picked up a lantern. He lit it with his torch, and then proceeded to hang it up on a tall metal post. This all happened on a large cliff, where he lived. He was the equivalent of a lighthouse keeper, but instead of lost boats, he assisted lost and wandering spirits. All sorts of spirits, but mainly a variety of land spirits that had somehow managed to find themselves on the open ocean.
Spirits are hidden from most of kal kind, but Icari managed to meet one a long time ago, as a kit. He had been playing on the surf.
He was digging a pit in the grainy sand, trying to find the sweet, pure water that he had heard lay beneath the sand. It was getting late, and refusing to go back inside, he stayed hard at work. Then, suddenly, he saw it. Far off in the distance, a little blue flickering light was growing near on the waves. As a curious kit, he ran out to meet it. He was up to his neck in water, and the pounding waves made for hard progress, but eventually he made it to the light. As he reached it, a shape finally became clear. It was a little fish, but glowing brightly, and floating effortlessly. This was a spirit. So, he guided it back to the beach. Thinking of it as a friend, he set it down beside his pit, and he continued to dig. A few minutes later though, the spirit started to fly quickly around the pit. He dig up another pawful, and there it was. He had hit the water. The fish spirit turned to face him, and swirled around him three times before diving into the hole and disappearing in the water.
After this day, Icari researched and read up on spirits. From books by "crazy" kalons, to fairy tales, he read and read and read. Eventually, he began to discover more spirits lost at sea, and perfected his methods until they reached the point they are at today. He will do all he can to protect spirit kind.
