The Australian-Oriented breed of Alkoli Mustangs are very illusive to people, but are overpopulating their Kolaio Plains home. Recently, a skilled group of people came together to try to capture and rehome some of the mustangs to keep the Kolaio Plains herd at a safe level.

Alkoli's are easily recognized by their elegant stature, thick flowing manes & tails, and slim faces. They have incredible endurance and speed, and are very determined and loyal to their owners. They try very hard to succeed and please their owners.

hi there, I see a little mistake in the genotype ^^

the genetics from an appaloosa work a little different then normal. an appaloosa always carries the varnish roan gene (Lp). you can call this the basis. I guess you probably know there are two different kinds of appaloosa: blanket appaloosa and leopard appaloosa. the gene for a leopard appaloosa is the gene Pattern1. Patn1 or P1 for short. for blanket appaloosa's this is pattern2.

so a blanket appaloosa is pattern2, but the horse needs to carry a varnish roan gene as well to be able to show the blanket. so a blanket appaloosa could for example be: Lplp/Patn2patn2

same for leopard appaloosa's, they also always need to carry tye varnish roan gene.

to make it even more difficult you also have two kinds of blanket appaloosa and two kinds of leopard appaloosa.

let's start with the blanket. you have a Spotted blanket and a Snowcap
the differnce between these two is the amount of varnish roan genes. when a horse carries 1 varnish roan gend(Lplp) then it is a spotted blanket appaloosa and if it carries two (LpLp) then it is a Snowcap appaloosa.

in fact it is exactly the same with leopard appaloosa's
you have normal leopard and few spot leopard
as you probably can already guess. the normal leopard carries 1 varnish roan gene and the few spots carries two.

for the pattern1 and 2 genes is there only a smal difference between 1 and 2 genes. for the blanket appaloosa is the blanket usually bigger when there are 2 genes. for the leopard there is just more white and less spots when there are 2 genes.

small example for the leopard. Lplp/Patn1patn1 and Lplp/Patn1Patn1

and another small thing. seal brown is At, not A. most Bays are just A but seal brown is a special kind of bay that is has the genetics At instead ^^

so and now to the genes of this horse. this horse is a spotted blanket so has only 1 varnish roan gene and the blanket is quite big so I should say 2 patn2 genes. so I should say the geno type is: EE/AtAt/Lplp/Patn2Patn2.
