Story: I was once a young Dik Dik and I was a curious girl. I loved to run through the forests of olive trees and make crowns out of the olive branches. Often times I would gift them to my mother and father and we would play hide and go seek. They always found me quickly because of my lack of hiding skills. I was their precious baby and I loved to cuddle with them and watch the sunsets and fall asleep in their laps. Before bed, they would tuck me in with my favorite baby blanket and my stuffie, Mr. Walrus. My parents would sleep by my side and I felt so safe and content. As I grew older and auction day arrived, I grew more and more attached to my parents because I knew that I would probably never see them again. Before auction day, my parents showed me their collection of all of the olive branch crowns I had made for them. They gave me the first one I ever made and one that they had made and soon after that, I was sold. It was a bittersweet moment because I knew I had to grow up and it was a part of life but I love my parents and they were my favorite people to be around. They had a special place in my heart.
