They met as apprentices, becoming best friends within a matter of minutes. It wasn't long after they became warriors that they became mates. Darkfreckle was in love with Clouddapple, and Clouddapple was in love with Darkfreckle. Once they had kits, five of the six died from the cold. And when the sixth kit's stupidity drove Darkfreckle over the edge of insanity, she attacked her only son. Clouddapple got in the way, and ended up being murdered by his love. Exiled from the Clan, Darkfreckle spent days crying over the fact that she had killed her own mate. Clouddapple watched her, sitting by her even though she couldn't see him. Several days later. Darkfreckle couldn't handle the guilt and she soon joined Clouddapple in StarClan. Doomed to spend eternity together. (This is part of a warriors fanfic I'm writing about their son.)

took me like thirty minutes to figure out how to color him in and then play around with the opacity of the layer. but, thanks! the clan they are from are in the mountains and kits aren't usually born in the cold season, and kits who are born then typically die due to the extreme cold weather. they live at a higher altitude than the tribe of rushing water, so it is colder and the fact that they also live farther north. yeah, i thought this clan completely through. this is what happens when i have three hours of time to do nothing lol
