What is a Glim?
A glim is a small reptilian creature with a scrunched snout and leathery paws. They look much like tiny dragons in composition with their jagged jaws and crooked horns, and some may have even sprouted wings. They are much different, however, in mentality. Throughout history, Glims have banded together to combat fate and predator in their fight for survival. Being relatively low on the food chain has made life difficult for them, but it was their fear and growing sense of community that eventually led to the fabled land of Glim Hollow.

Their diets consist of nuts, insects, small mammals, and some berries.
Females typically grow to be about a foot in length, while males can grow to be a foot and a half.
Their weight can average from 1.5 lbs to 10 lbs.
Their average life expectancy is currently 55 years, but is steadily increasing.

What is Glim Hollow?
Glim Hollow is a tucked away place deep in the confines of a forest. Glims naturally love forests, as the tangle of wood and leaf provides wonderful hiding places and nests to raise their young. Glim Hollow is where the trees are at their most dense, providing the perfect foundation for treehouses. Most are constructed from twigs, leaves, and dried grass, but some have gone so far as to hollow out a trunk for their condo-like abode. The population of Glim Hollow is consistently growing, but there is plenty of room for all seeking sanctuary.

Traits
Common Traits: Hair that extends up to the shoulder, horns on the face/head, short (no show) tongue, no body edits.
Uncommon Traits: Hair that reaches below the elbow lines, up to four horns on the body aside from the face/head, elongated tongue.
Rare Traits: Hair that continues down the spine, hair on the tail, five or more horns on the body aside from the face/head, extra/missing eyes, bat wings.
Legendary Traits: Feathered wings, magical abilities, fused gems.

General Rules
1. Each individual person may have up to twenty Glims.
2. This is a closed species, so you may not make your own Glim unless you are an official artist or guest artist.
3. If you decide you want your OWN Glim to be your fursona, that is acceptable.
4. Do not edit the body lines of your Glim, aside from changing the eye shape or expression.
5. Any unused or unwanted Glim may be circled back into adoption at the owner’s leisure and can be given to any who is not banned from the group. (Notify me or a staff member first.)
6. You may role-play your Glims.
7. Do not claim someone else’s Glim as your own.
8. Any person in violation of these rules will get one strike and may accumulate to three, which will result in a ban.
9. Treat people fairly and have fun with it!

Breeding Rules
1. A Glim may have various sexual orientations or
partners, but only a male and female can breed.
2. If you or two different people decide to breed
your Glims, please notify an artist about creating
the breeding slots.
3. All offspring produced from a bred pair cannot
be held, as in they will be public so everyone
may have a chance of obtaining it.
4. A Glim may lay up to three eggs, depending on
how many the owners of the parents desire.
5. There will be no cases of incest.
6. Only adult Glims can breed.
7. Glims must wait one month before they can
breed again.
8. A Glim can only breed three times in its life.

Growth and Development

Gestation Period - One week

Egg Period - Five days

Juvenile Period - One to two months

Adult Period - ∞

If the times comes for your Glim to grow, please notify an artist to make the necessary preparations!

Artist (Staff) Rules
1. Artists can only be hired by me (sunowl).
2. An artist’s duration of hire depends on their activity and willingness to follow rules.
3. If you are an artist and want to take a hiatus, please notify me first. It’s ok!
4. An artist must make five Glims before incorporating uncommon or rare traits.
5. An artist can make up to five personal Glims, however these slots are earned with time.
6. All created events must be passed by me.
7. If an artist wishes to take their created Glim to Deviant Art, that is fine as long as they link it to the official CS adoption thread.

Guest Artist Rules
1. A guest artist can be hired by any staff member.
2. There can only be four guest artists at a time.
3. Each guest artist is entitled to create one personal Glim, as well as four Glims to be publicly adopted.
4. A guest artist can only be hired for two weeks at a time.

Strikes and Bans
Any violation to the rules will result in a strike. A third strike will result in a permanent ban from the group. A banned person may keep their acquired Glims, however they cannot breed them or participate in any of the threads.
