Welcome to the racing booth! Kit will show you around, be sure to listen, otherwise she might not treat you so nicely.
----
" welcome, welcome, to the one and only racing booth here at our humble carnival. here you may place bets on your favorite canines, and if you bet right, you may even take home a prize. be warned - there are no refunds... "
This is the racing booth for the Sweetnose Mastiff summer event. Here, you can spend coins by betting them on some of the custom dogs owned by staff, or either of the two mascots! There will be bi-weekly races, with plenty of chances to win prizes! Place your bets now for any dog on any race, and check back here daily for the results!
HOW IT WORKS
- Please note - we will only be accepting straight wagers, meaning you can only bet on one dog. There will be no exotic wagers.
You may only bet on a dog to win - you may not bet on a dog to place or show.
You must bet a minimum of 5 currency. You may bet more, but you may not bet less. You must place bets in multiples of 5 as well (eg, you may not bet 6 - to keep me from going insane from math). If your dog loses, you will not win anything back. If your dog wins, you will collect your bet, as well as a part of the leftover currency from the unsuccessful gamblers. How much you win of the leftover will be calculated based upon how much you bet. For example, if Person A bets two currency on Dog 1, Person B bets eight currency on Dog 1, and Person C bets twenty currency on Dog 2, and Dog 1 wins, Person A would collect their two currency, as well as four currency from the bet placed by Person C, whereas Person B would collect their eight currency as well as the 16 currency from the bet placed by Person C.
There are eight dogs available to bet on at this moment.
The winner will be randomly generated out of 400. Each dog gets assigned a set starting gate, and their gate corresponds with their numbers when generated. Gate One will have the numbers 1-50, Gate Two 51-100, Gate Three 101-150, Gate Four 151-200, Gate Five 201-250, Gate Six 251-300, Gate Seven 301-350, and Gate Eight 351-400.
