Canine Ailé (Canis Ailé), also known as Winged Canines or Heavenly Wolves, are a new species that was been recently discovered on a distant Earth-like planet. They closely resemble wolves and have been placed in the canine family, genus Canis, for the time being. Further research is needed to see how these creatures are similar or distinct from the canines they resemble. They are slightly larger than your average Grey Wolf (Canis lupus) with a very long tail and a row of five scales on their muzzle. Most have longer fur along their backs, or a backmane and a set of wings. Many mutations and variations have also been observed. Coloration wise they have a base coat of natural color but bright bioluminescent patterning. This patterning coloration matches their eye color and the top most scale on their muzzle. They have been observed to have powers that let them control the elements and the color of their pattern is linked to which element they have control over. Unlike wolves Canine Ailés are omnivorous, though they do seem to prefer meat to vegetables. They eat a variety of meats, fruits, vegetables and nuts found in their home world. Canine Ailés are incredibly intelligent and have a very complex social structure that uses a combination of body language and sound. We have yet to prove an actual language but it is thought they have one.
