~*About*~
Fleidaura are a species of large felines featuring some characteristics of other animals. Their name comes from their likeness to the “big cats”, any of the members of the Felidae family as well as the bright, prominent orbs of light that surround them. These orbs are actually the essence of their being manifested in a visible form.
This aura originates from their creation. Although many years have passed since the first Felidauras began to surface, all can trace their blood back to the first member of the species. Her name is Aera. It is unknown how she came to be. She protects the weak and nature which cannot protect itself. She is kind and benevolent and watches over all of her species. To extend her influence, she decided to bless two of each of the big cat species with her aura. When these Founders had cubs, they had their own aura and continued to spread the genes. Thus, the Felidaura came to be.
Each member of the species is taxed with guarding some part of nature. The Founders were given a particular thing to protect i.e., tigers guard the winds. Each of the descendants of each species guards a sub-portion of that larger thing. Usually, this means their protection extends over a particular range of territory.
These are very aloof creatures. They rarely travel in prides; most prefer a peaceful, solitary life watching over their domain. Occasionally a small group of up to five members will live harmoniously together.

~*Physical Attributes*~
Every Felidaura has some type of horn or antler. The majority of these horns mimic those of creatures found naturally around the world, such as goats, deer, moose, elk, and rams. Usually their visible aura occupies the space around these horns. However, their aura can migrate to any part of their body. If a Felidaura is ever separated from this aura, they will die. It is their life force.
There are many mutations that these felines have. They can have wings, extra fur tufts, spines, multiple sets or types of horns, horns that appear “random” and are not normally found in nature, saber teeth, manes, multiple tails and different types of tails, no tails. The mutation list is essentially endless. One thing that you will never see is a hornless Felidaura. This, along with their aura, is their defining feature. They are about the same size as their natural species counterparts. Typically, they are found as cougar, tiger, lion, leopard (any type), jaguar, and lynx sub-species. Many of the smaller sub-species, such as cheetahs, caracals, bobcats, etc. are only found very rarely. They can vary at most by 10% of that particular species’ maximum or minimum size.

Species concept inspired by my OC Oberon that I doodled up one day. I loved his concept enough that I didn't want to hog it all for myself. <3
