Fictional Flower
Though not actually a rose, the vampire rose is a parasitic flower that grows mostly on the stems of roses. It's roots rewire the seed development of the flower it is growing on so the flower creates seeds for the vampire rose. These seeds are carried by the wind when dropped because they are so light. When a seed lands in a flower patch it will usually stay there, as it has a coating on it that makes it very bitter, so most creatures that would eat it stay away. As smaller flowers begin to grow, the roots of the seed will begin to spread around till it can attach itself to the roots of another plant. within a few months small buds begin to form on the stem, and shortly thereafter they bloom into small black and red flowers with a yellow center.
