You know I think that happened a lot with me too esp when I was pre-teens going through the teens. So, if possible you make peace with whoever you feel you may have wronged and one day you will either look back on it and laugh, or take it as a lesson.
I mean I still do things out of emotion at times (even small things such as blaring the car horn for a small reason, I feel so bad xD.)
I put things like this and any other mistakes I make. The more you are around people(or anything you feel you have wronged at the time) the greater the chance of some incident or outcome that wont always be something you're proud of.
Without being there to say on how to help ease the emotion of what you're feeling you just have to, and I mean HAVE to, think of it as, 'by tomorrow this will be in the past.' The more you dwell on anything you're unhappy about the more it eats at your self esteem.
I used to think if I beat this emotion into me I wont make this same mistake or, very few others. Which just isn't so.
