Sam had finally managed to sneak away from her father, stealing his teleporter in the process. She knew that she would have only a few minutes before the Marine noticed that his daughter and teleporter were missing, so she needed to hurry. She'd keep the visit short and pop back to her father's side before he knew she was gone. Thankfully, her mother was out with the other Cainids for a hunt, so Sam wouldn't have to worry about running into her by accident.
Sam typed in where she wanted to go in the teleporter and pressed the red button at the bottom. It took a few seconds for the teleporter to register that it was being asked to move someone, then bright, blue light swirled around her. With the whoosh of air, Sam was gone from the second floor of the base.
The young hybrid reappeared on the bottom most floor of the base with a sigh of relief.
"Tom," she said. "I only have a few minutes here, so-" She stopped dead at what she saw, the teleporter slipping out of her hands.
Tom was standing over the bodies of his two guards, blood dripped off of his wolf-like muzzle. There was blood on his hands as well, and he seemed exhausted. At the sound of his best friend's eager voice, he opened his eyes and looked up. Sam gaped at him, her eyes filled with fear. Tom opened his mouth.
"Sam!" he cried, startled. Sam didn't wait around to see what he would do. She seized the teleporter off the floor and typed in the location of the armoury on the second floor and pressed the red button again.
"No, wait!" Tom cried, running towards her. Sam vanished. Tom stared at the spot where she had just been standing.
"It's not what you think . . ." he said softly.
I haven't drawn these two in quite a long time. It was nice to draw them again, even though it wasn't all that happy of a drawing XD.
