Those of you who saw my coloring of Oakstep and Petaldream already know some of the backstory for this clan. Here is some more of the story:

Five years ago they had to find a new shelter and most of the clan, primarily kits and queens, died from exhaustion, cold, hunger, or illness. In the following years it has become uncommon for she-kits to be born, and even if one is born, its rare for a whole litter to survive to apprenticeship, and even more rare for them to survive to adulthood. Most she-cats are either un-able to have kits, or fear losing them to the harsh terrain they live in, so queens are often given almost as much respect as you'd expect a clan to have for their leader. One change I made while creating this is that I created a deputy and a medicine cat, two ranks I said would lack a cat to hold them in the description of "Oak x Petal." The reason these ranks have cats is because this is what the clan looks like 3 moons later.
