[Cerulean Wake]

Persepolis is an autobiographical graphic novel depicting the early life of Marjane Satrapi and how she grew up during the Islamic Revolution in Iran. The art style is downright awesome, and I would highly recommend it as the main character is engaging and relatable. The author also makes great use of irony and has a slightly dark, cynical sense of humor (in the best of ways). We had to read it for school, but I'm sure glad I did.

This art is kinda messy but I hope it compels you to check this book out.
