Postby abxy » Sat Mar 25, 2017 7:20 am

timer's off!
this was done entirely on one layer if you dont include the background layer.
honestly despite not being able to draw profile views, this was really fun and relaxing to draw??
also if anyone has tips on profile views (other than using references) PLEASE TELL

i'm not gonna sit around and feel
guilty for every mistake i've ever
made. if you think you're perfect,
you're wrong. no one is without a
flaw. what matters is how we
correct the wrongs we've done.
you can't just 'cancel' somebody
because they mess up.

*slides in* i suck at tips but im gonna help and mess it up anyway!

first of all, the eyes should be moved closer to the front of the face, and in more of a > shape. the way you have it now looks a bit like she's got eyes on the side of her head like a cow or horse does!

and honestly, i know you said you don't want advice that's just "use references"
    but trust me, use. references.
i completely understand trying to develop your own personal art style, but when you're just learning art it's better to learn "the right way" of proportioning things and anatomy and then play it off with your own touches like bigger eyes or more cartoony features in general. the way i draw is nowhere near realistic but i still use human references to actually learn where things go, and how anatomy works

additionally, drawingwiffwaffles has a good tutorial on helping with drawing profiles here, i recommend looking into that ^^

otherwise i think you've got a pretty good grasp on profiles, better than me at least :') sorry if i came across aggressive or anything

I am not active on CS anymore except on the rare occasion.
If you'd like to talk to me please do so on one of the sites linked above. Thanks!
