Why..?(Poetic Vent inside)(Anti-war, so sorry if it's harsh)

Why do people fight?
Why does day feel as harsh as night?
Why are people calling it "war",
when all we find is pain, like never before?
Why must we say goodbye,
knowing that saying they'll make it home is a lie?
Why do we hurt each other,
are we not sister and brother?
So what if we live oceans away?
So what if we don't celebrate the same holiday?
There's not point fighting over land,
for now, many are together in a inseparable band.
Why add more guns to the pain...
We can see when you do it for gain.
Are any of us different from you...?
Did we did something strange, that you wouldn't do?
What is the point of hurting friends....
When it helps none, in the end.

This was just...A question, in a way. A question that doesn't have a firm answer.."'Why?" Why is this going on? Because I constantly see people wishing for luck when their family members go to the army. And it bothers me, not only because they are thrown into a situation which they can only cross their fingers and hope, but also because sometimes, what it takes for one child's father to come home, causes another child to lose their's. What happens when I talk to someone on this website, and if at some time in the future, our countries go to war? Am I supposed to hate them? Am I supposed to prematurely hate another human being because of something my country or his/her country did? because of something that people I don't know did? The thing is...Modern age feels so...safe. But just a hop and a skip away, people are threatening to cause so much pain, just because of greed. It hurts. Only emotionally for me so far, but for others...
I tried to keep this from going too hard and close to the heart of this, but if any staff wishes me to edit this or delete it, let me know.
