Coridae are canine-like species with open chest cavities protected by a thin layer of transparent "skin".They have two hearts, one of which is upside down and dormant, this allows Coridae a to live a little longer if one heart is damaged. They are commonly seen with bandages wrapped around their sensitive ears from the constant rips and tears their litter mates inflict on them. Their ears are very similar to that of a bat, and are generally kept covered. They often have very long nails, and dew claws. Coridae are born in litters of 1-2, rarely 3, and generally socialize with other other litters. Their "eyes" are little glowing orbs put set deep in their eye sockets, these eyes can travel anywhere along the elongated eye socket. You will NEVER, ever see a coridae with an eye socket not extended onto the muzzle. Their mouths have the same anatomy as that of a venomous snake, they have poison stored in the glands but rarely use it. A Coridae's main defense tactic is to flood goop out of their eye sockets, nose, mouth, and chest cavity, predators see this as a sign of an unhealthy meal and are often deterred by the slight odor from goop(a very faint smell of infection). Any unhealed scars will constantly leak goop until it scabs over, there have been cases of paw pads or any skin areas constantly leaking goop without cuts. This goo is normally the same shade as their insides, which vary greatly for each Coridae.
Although the most common chest cavity is a heart split in two, they can be any shape(s), so you'll never know what you'll be getting from these guys.

Me and my staff try very hard to make Coridaes run smoothly and hopefully successfully), so please do not put any addittional stress on any of us. If you are having a serious issue, then shoot me a PM and we will try and work it out. Do not ever yell at my staff or make them feel bad, it's just so unfair.
They can't make everyone win an adopt, so please understand why they might have chosen someone other than you, we understand it's disheartening but i promise they aren't against you.
Please make sure you follow all site rules, we don't need drama with our Coridaes.
This is a closed species, i do ask that you respect that and don't try to make your own or copy my ideas.
We do not allow people to sell their coridaes, just because it would be unfair to the artist (we do not accept bribes).
A small group of top mods have a right to revoke your coridae(s) if they feel it's necessary, if this happens to you and you find it unjust, contact me and i will sort it out.
You may adopt up to five at this time, but only try for them if you will use them please! <3

You are free to join in as a mod. As a mod, you are allowed one free custom of your making or my making. As well as any little treats the species gets while you are a mod. Say an item is introduced, you will get one free.
