(Before I start, I am NOT begging for attention or saying, "Like all my stuff or you're a horrible person!" I'm JUST sharing my thoughts okay)Alright so I know the art in my gallery really isn't all that good, (especially this gem right here)but I've feeling a bit discouraged about feedback on my art. For example, I worked pretty hard on these pieces (They might look a bit sloppy, but I did spend some time on them! Especially the first one, made when I was still figuring out my drawing tablet.);

Yet, when I start including a meme or fandom into my art, suddenly it gets popular. This really discourages me oddly enough, because I do work hard on some of these pieces, yet do not get back any feedback or constructive criticism. I've been seeing this with some other oekaki's, too. When people draw advanced art, it blows up in awesome feedback and likes. Now, when people draw below average art (Which yes not everyone can be the next mozart) they are given praise and constructive criticism(which this doesn't happen all the time of course). But the people who draw kinda average but pretty good (Mostly) get zilch. No feedback, no constructive criticism, nothing. I don't know why people do this. Perhaps its because some think, "Oh! Wow, they're bad(when their not) compared to me! Ha!" Or they're just afraid to say something(Which you shouldn't because nobody's gonna witch hunt you for your opinion unless its really rude.). In fact, here are some mentions who deserve WAY more likes and good feedback then they have.;

Anyhow, this is just my opinion. I know feedback and likes don't come in like 3 minutes but I mean It's really discouraging when nobody acknowledges my art. I am happy that I get likes at all on my stuff(Some of them), but it'd make me really happy to see more, and I assure it would make others really happy too. Welp, I guess that concludes my rant. I realize this is really long now so uh, oops. Also if this doesn't belong here just tell me where to move it to and don't be a jerk. Thanks.

i agree with you 100%. whenever i draw a silly picture or a fandom picture it always gets more attention then one i actually try really hard on, which bugs me. and my art skills aren't terrible, but they're not the best either, so i understand what you're saying and i agree with you.

I feel exactly the same, even in RL. Sometimes when I'm with my friends I say that my drawings are bad just to get them to say stuff about my drawing, even if it isn't good stuff. And guess what, when I'm PROUD of something, people say it's bad. I get sick of sometimes, and I think it really should have something done about it. I love getting feedback, good or not- it makes me feel noticed and appreciated. I enjoy art and I want other people to enjoy my art too, even if it isn't the greatest. I know I'm not Leonardo Da Vinci, but I still draw because I want to be able to draw like him one day, but if no-one gives me advice how can I do that?

I feel the same way. I used to ask for help but it didn't work and so I just gave up on everything for awhile. But when I came back when I got kinda better, it was still the same. Sure, I do draw the most random and absurd stuff without shading/lighting (mainly because I wasn't exposed to that topic enough ^^). That's the same when I draw fandom stuff. Maybe I did leave out a few details: well its because I can't either draw it right or its because it doesn't look right to me. Its the same with real life due to the fact that I only get "Great job!" and no tips of anything, which makes me feel like I'm not doing anything right.

So that's a small rant ^^
