What was an otherwise quiet night for a walk in the woods has been abruptly invaded by high, spastic yowls and yips - from your travels elsewhere, you might recognize these as noises a coyote pack might make at night. Although to your knowledge, coyotes are neither ten feet tall, nor known to climb trees. So why on earth does it sound like they're above you?
The only sign of the noises' source you can see when looking up is a little white blob- the face of a moonrat, mouth agape with a sudden silence as it's caught in the act. It shuts its mouth and just sits there with its ears back, giving you this look.
What's up?
[bark at the moonrat]
[throw your arms up and flee the woods]
[whip out an instrument and see if it'll keep going]
[cross your arms and return its look - it knows what it did]
